Dear Money Gods: please send more and please spread out the Nordys Sale from Prime Day and all other shopping days before my husband divorces me. In the meantime, I’m sharing a few links to the good finds on Amazon’s Prime Day today…well, what I can find in the midst of the site crashing every second. Some of these are things I’ve had my eye on since Christmas, and others just hang out in my Amazon cart waiting to go on sale. Here are some things that you guys might love too:
- Clarisonic Mia 1 and Mia 2 (like $50 off!!!) – I haven’t tried these yet but everyone loves them and I’ve had my eye on one since Christmas. I finally decided that I’m almost in my 40’s and maaaaybe I should pay attention to my skincare regimen…or lack there of. This is step 1 I guess 🙂
- Tegu Purse Pouch – these are literally one of my favorite baby/kid toys of all times and you will almost never find me without this little pouch in my purse – they’re the best restaurant distractor of all time (if your kids are bored with them, show them how the restaurant spoon will magnet onto the blocks, and it’s like a whole new world). These are so expensive, so this deal is the time to buy!
- Alex Toys Button Art – this is a GREAT quiet-time activity starting at about 3 – it’s a color matching set that has been popular with all of my boys and is so cheap today!
- Garmin Vivofit Jr – this is the original Garmin kids watch/step counter. My boys have the Vivofit Jr and it does have some added features that we love, but if you’re looking for something less expensive, this original one is on Prime Day today for $30 off!
- TinkerToys – we LOVE these at our house and I’ve had another set in my cart FOREVER to add to our collection, but never wanted to spend the $40 – haha – but today they’re $26 so that’s way better!
- Plui Rain Cloud Toy – this is a fun baby toy – but I just recently saw it on a blog as a toddler toy to use in a water sensory bucket and it’s on sale today — would be a good stocking stuffer to save for Christmas if you have a little one…baby stocking stuffers can be hard sometimes!
- Amazon Fire 8 Kids Edition – our upcoming road trip has me considering all of our screens. I’m normally pretty strict on screen time, but the open road is open season for whatever makes the kids happy! We’re currently an iPad house, but my friends have really liked the Fire for their kids and since this comes with a 2 year replacement policy (like your kid could dunk it in the bathtub and they’ll send you a new one!) and a 1 year subscription to games and shows from PBS, Nick, Disney, etc. I think it is the perfect time to try it out for $40 off!)
I’ll try to add to the list as the site opens up a little more…and once my kids aren’t running around like crazy people!
Ok, here’s my late night update when the site is stable and my kids are sleeping 😉
- Under Armour Boys Uniform Shoes – Sweeeeeet! These all-black shoes should be completely compliant for school uniform shoes! I could only find the lace-up shoes and no velcro options, but I bought the next size up for my son so that I have them ready when he inevitably needs them! YAY for only spending only $33 on this horrifically awful uniform shoes!
- Instant Pot 6 Quart – Ok, if you don’t have an Instant Pot, I swear they are life changing. Life. Changing. This comes from a Mom of 3 who doesn’t love to cook – I don’t have the time, energy, or prep time. But, I can make pretty amazing meals in this sucker and it barely ever takes an hour for anything in my recipe rotation (more like 20 minutes to make it into my list of go-to’s). I have the 8 quart Instant Pot, and do often wonder if mine is too big…I think it takes a little while longer to pressurize than a 6 quart would…but I don’t know if the 6 quart would be too small as my mini’s grow to full monster size. However, the 6 quart is all that’s on Prime Day…the 8 quart will probably be on Black Friday deals, but if you’ve been dying to try one out, today may be the day! PS If you are scared of the Instant Pot (a few of my friends have told me that they are) – do not be! It is easy peasy and not hard…I’ll give you a quick tutorial, I love it so much!
- Lock Laces – These are elastic bands that you use to replace regular shoe laces for kiddos who can’t tie their own shoes yet. It lets you just pull the tether clip to lock them in place and were recommended by our uniform store last year, though I haven’t tried them yet. I’m ordering some for this year, so it’ll be our first try too but I was glad this brand was on the Prime Day deals!
- Girls Keds School Days II – HA I make NO claim to know about the girl shoes – but a reader told me that they’re the most inexpensive on Nordstrom right now, so if you’re taking care of all uniform shoes, here’s an easy link to that page!
